Bald Eagle and Golden Eagle

Large, mostly dark soaring birds with broad wings. Bald eagles appear large-headed in profile holding wings straight out like broad planks and are commonly found near bodies of freshwater. Golden eagles appear smaller headed with slightly longer tail and hold wings in slight dihedral with somewhat building secondaries, giving wings a more rounded appearance that pinches at the body. Both birds have varying degrees of white in their plumage as they mature.
